With its headquarters in New Delhi, IMA represents the medical fraternity at national and international levels, being mutually affiliated with the British and Nepal Medical Associations.
Through its various wings, including the Hospital Board of India (HBI), IMA works to uphold ethical medical practice, safeguard doctors’ rights, and promote excellence in healthcare delivery. IMA is the largest professional body of modern medicine doctors in India, working to protect doctors’ rights, uphold ethical practice, and promote quality healthcare nationwide.
HBI is a dedicated wing of IMA that supports and affiliates hospitals and clinical establishments, ensuring better networking, standards, and representation.
Any qualified modern medicine doctor (MBBS/MD/MS, etc.) registered with the State Medical Council can apply for IMA membership.
Hospitals can join through the IMA HBI Life Affiliation program by submitting the required documents (registration certificate, doctor details, etc.) and paying the prescribed fee.
